Electronic Configuration for Helium (He) – Digital Kemistry

How to Write Electron Configuration for Helium (He)

Helium (He) has atomic number 2 and mass number 4 .

Since the helium has two electrons around the nucleus of an atom .Therefore, helium electronic configuration is very simple and easy to write.

Electronic configuration of Helium (He) = 1s2

As we know that the K-shell has only one s-subshell .

s-subshell can accommodate a maximum of 2 electrons so the 2 electrons in helium atom fill in 1s subshell.
